There are two different ways to apply for the scholarship, one is NTUE scholarship, another is the Taiwan government scholarship.
Scholarship for International Students of NTUE (for degree student only)
Subjects:
International freshman students and current International students
Application and Time:
1. New Students: Online enrollment application system (https://enroll.ntue.edu.tw/foreign), please choose "yes" at the scholarship field. The result will inform you with your Letter of Admission.
2. Current Students: By the end of April each year, please take the Scholarship Application Form and the Transcript of the Previous Semester, and a Photocopy of Current Student ID Card to apply for the scholarship at the Division of International Affairs. (Office Location: A709 Room, Administration Building)
Award Period:
September (the month that you begin your semester) to next year August.
Amount:
Undergraduate: NTD 4000 to 6000 per month
Graduate: NTD 6000 to 8000 per month
Approval and Issue:
1. The maximum length of time a student is entitled to receive the scholarship is 4 academic years for undergraduate students, 2 academic years for students in master programs, and 4 academic years for students in doctoral programs.
2. The awarded students must take part in the university voluntary service for at least 72 hours in Departments or School Administrative Units, the one who fails to meet the requirements of the voluntary service will be ineligible to apply for future scholarship.
Quota of Scholarship: The number of recipients for each year is subject to the availability of scholarship funds for the year.

Scholarships for Degree
1. MOFA Taiwan Scholarship Program
Application date: February 1 to March 31 (subject to change).
Duration: undergraduate (max.4 years), Master's (max. 2 years), Ph.D. (max. 4 years), pre-degree Mandarin Langauge Program (max. 1 year) available.
Monthly stipend: NTD 30,000 each month
One direct round-trip economy-class ticket.
2. MOE Taiwan Scholarship Program
Application date: February 1 to March 31 (subject to change).
Duration: undergraduate (max.4 years), Master's (max. 2 years), Ph.D. (max. 4 years).
Monthly stipends: NT$15,000 for undergraduate, NTD$20,000 for Master's or Ph.D.
Waiver of tuition and certain fees.
Recipients can only study at universities participating in Taiwan Scholarship Program Union.
Mainly for recipients from eligible countries designated by the MOE.
3. MOST Taiwan Scholarship Program
Application date: February 1 to March 31 (subject to change).
Duration: Master's program (max. 2 years), Ph.D. (max. 3 years).
Monthly stipends: NT$ 30,000
Only for recipients from eligible countries designated by MOST (subject to change).
Huayu (Mandarin) Enrichment Scholarships
1. MOE Huayu Enrichment Scholarships
Application date: February 1 to March 31 (subject to change).
Duration: summer classes (2 months), 3,6,9 months, or 1 year.
Monthly stipend: NT$25,000
Only for recipients from eligible countries designed by the MOE.
