About NTUE & DIA

       1. Introduction

Endowed with both tradition and cultural legacy for over a hundred years, the National Taipei University of Education (NTUE) is situated in an urban and vibrant yet comfortable campus. One will find state-of-the-art communication technology, multi-disciplinary structures, and an outstanding teaching legacy. Apart from training education elites, NTUE has also expanded the relevant academic fields in an innovative way, thus it has become an optimal choice for those devoting themselves to the education and culture industry.

       2. Academic

NTUE began in 1895 as National Taipei Teachers College, renamed to its present title in 2005. NTUE comprises four academic units: EducationHumanities and ArtsScience, and International Degree Program, all offers undergraduate and graduate programs. International Degree Program comprises three programs, including two all Taught-in-English Master’s Program in Fine Arts and Education. In addition, Our widely acclaimed Chinese Language Education Center (CLEC) receives more than 2,000 students from over 40 counties from ages 6 to 50 to learn Mandarin Chinese language every year.

       3. Location

NTUE is located in Taipei City, the biggest city, and the capital of Taiwan. Taipei is a short drive from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Taipei offers a wide variety of things to see and do, appealing to visitors and students around the world’s tallest building – Taipei 101. More importantly, The University is centrally located in the heart of Taipei, on 7.5 hectares of land, with a major MRT (Technology Station Building) station only 450m away. Also, the university is located in Taipei’s cultural and financial district and is near to National Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, and Taipei World Trade Center.

About DIA

The Division of International Affairs (DIA) is devoted to offering a more international-oriented campus. We offer teachers and students financial subsidies to overseas interns, visits, and academic conferences. And we also actively pursues a policy of international academic collaboration. Links with higher education institutions worldwide are formed and maintained through formal academic agreements, exchange programs, symposia, and visits.

Currently, NTUE has established formal academic partnerships with 110 higher education institutions, and we still keep seeking more partners for international cooperation to build a broader overseas landscape of partnerships, strives to expand and strengthen our connections with other well-known institutions in the world. 


Also, we seek an extensive range of ways to interact with our partner institutions. The university carries out the Language and Culture programs for students from partner institutions annually. For example, we invite students from our Japanese and Korean partner institutions to join in our NTUE Language and Culture Program every January and March. On the other hand, our students visit our partners during the summer vacation. And from 2016, we invite our partner institutions from Europe and America to join the Language and Culture Winter Program at NTUE every December. To experience the  Taiwanese culture and New year's activities.

Overall, the mission of the DIA is to strengthen friendships with partner institutions; furthermore, we are dedicated to increasing the international experiences of teachers and students and broadening their global horizons.
